Eligibility
To be eligible to vote in Scottish Parliament and Local Government elections you must meet the following requirements:
- Your name must be on the Register of Electors
- You must be a British, Commonwealth, European Union or Irish citizen
- You must be 18 or over

The Register of Electors is maintained locally by the Electoral Registration Officer.
